The next open day is on 4th October 2026. We are open from 11am to 4pm. Our Fabulous Car Show Entry is just £2.50 on 4th October 2026 with under 16 Free Please note we are closed June,July,August,Setember,November & December. IMPORTANT UPDATE - SEE PRESS RELEASE PAGE Our opening on Sunday 4th   October   2026 will go ahead but we will NOT be steaming any of the engines. The Boiler House, beam engine room, sprinkler pump room, 1910 workshop, cafe and souvenir shop will remain open. The main engine room and the generator room will remain closed throughout the day. We will ensure our social media channel and website are kept up to date with the latest news from Ellenroad. We’d like to thank all our visitors, members & volunteers for you continued support.

- Special Events on most Steaming Day.

We welcome School parties and other groups on weekdays by arrangement.

Please note, due to the nature of the site we can only offer limited disabled access,

but we do have a chair lift.
