Introducing our new biomass boiler.

A full heating system including a 199kW Herz boiler in a custom containerised unit with accumulators, systems controls and fuel store has been installed outside the original building of Ellenroad.  Utilising iron pipe in a traditional method to match the existing building due to it being a National Historic Monument.

Part funded by DEFRA with GMCVO (Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation) the installation now provides heat to the museum to help keep the volunteers running the mill warm and also to help reduce condensation within the building while running the steam engines.
