This three half pence (1½d = 0.625p) coin is in "UNC" condition and was donated to Ellenroad
by Harry Kershaw in December 2008. It was minted in 1842, the year that our Whitelees beam engine was built.
For size comparison, Harry has donated also a 3d (= 1.25p) coin from 1889.
